A few years ago, with the release of Gingerbread, the Android ecosystem has begun to show its influence in the mobile devices industry

GingerBread was in fact a very innovative operating system compared to the previous versions and it has allowed Google to be inserted firmly in a market that until that time it had not yet explored concretely.

The peculiarity of the GingerBread Android lockscreen is the possibility to have and use two convenient sliders: one to unlock the device and the other one to open an App without access to the phone’s Home screen.

Just like in the original version, thanks to GingerLock, a new Tweak for jailbroken iPhones, you can get these two buttons and use them on iOS to obtain the same benefits.

To install this lockscreen you need a jailbroken iPhone, then you must have Cydia.

This package requires payment (just $ 0.99) and can be purchased from many Cydia repositories.

Once you bought the package, the installation will be almost automatic and at the end of the procedure the iPhone will restart.

Once this is done, you will have successfully installed the lockscreen Android GingerBread on the iPhone.

To return to the old lockscreen will be sufficient to do the reverse, ie, open Cydia, and delete the tweak “GingerLock” from the installed packages list.
